The Lake Norman Big Band is the premier big band in the Charlotte/Lake Norman area. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable musical arts organization formed by all-volunteer musicians. The Lake Norman Big Band takes the stage with 20 members and performs the full spectrum of jazz music from the 1920's to present day. We play selections from Dixieland, swing, bebop, Latin, jazz-rock fusion and pop genres. The group generally performs with 4 trumpets, 4 trombones, 5 saxophones (2 alto, 2 tenor & baritone), a rhythm section (piano, guitar, bass guitar, drums & percussion) and vocalists.
The big band has performed regularly on the fourth Monday of every month since January 2010. We also perform for charities, churches, festivals, non-profit organizations, clubs, fund raisers, veteran’s groups, corporate celebrations, birthdays, weddings, etc. We play in either concert venues or dinner/dance settings. Playlists are developed specifically for the occasion. The band is booking performance engagements. Please contact us for more information.

OUR MUSICAL HOME
The Lake Norman Big Band's musical home is the Finish Line Restaurant and Lounge. This venue is located at 125 Morlake Drive, Mooresville, NC, 28117 in George Pappas' Victory Lanes. The concert/dance area is separated from the bowling alley by glass walls so the sound from the bowling pins does not disrupt our music.
All shows are held on the fourth Monday of each month from 7:00 - 9:00 PM. Dinner seating is available at booths, regular tables and high tops. Limited seating is also available at the bar. All seating is available only on a first come/first served basis. Reservations are not taken. A cover charge does NOT apply at Finish Line. Our band of course welcomes donations in order to continue to provide quality programs.
We are excited to be able to continue to present the Greater Charlotte/Lake Norman area with the finest in live big band jazz music.
